The Fountain - My Favorite Work
Today I will write about the work that changed the meaning of art in the twentieth century. the work called "La Fuente" was by the artist Marcel Duchamp, a French artist who used a urinal in an exhibition of a museum. Duchamp was the first artist to explore the concept of the ReadyMade, also known as an "inflamed object" that basically is to give another function to a mundane object and contextualize it in another space. so the work will take on another meaning. The first time I saw this work of art was in "art history" classes at my university, We were in the stage of avant-garde art and its main reference was this artist who started this authentic revolution in the art world by introducing this new concept of avant-garde art.
