The Fountain - My Favorite Work







Today I will write about the work that changed the meaning of art in the twentieth century. the work called "La Fuente" was by the artist Marcel Duchamp, a French artist who used a urinal in an exhibition of a museum.Duchamp was the first artist to explore the concept of the ReadyMade, also known as an "inflamed object" that basically is to give another function to a mundane object and contextualize it in another space. so the work will take on another meaning.
The first time I saw this work of art was in "art history" classes at my university, We were in the stage of avant-garde art and its main reference was this artist who started this authentic revolution in the art world by introducing this new concept of avant-garde art.

And for me this work means a change in what the foundations of art meant to me. I opened a field with many more opportunities within art, where there are no limits and the possibilities are broader.
I like it because at that time, 1920. art had a vision that in my opinion was still little explored. and this work expanded the field of possibilities.
He curious fact that this work of art has is that it was exhibited in a museum which forbade it because it did not consider it a legitimate work of art, the guru thought it was an insult or a joke in bad taste since this was nothing more than a simple urinary.

François Auguste René Rodin

Rodin is a sculptor born in Paris in 1840, At a very early age Rodin showed an interest in art, mainly by sculpture, thanks to its first scale sculpture was consecrate quickly, after that came many orders. I work with many materials such as plaster, metal, bronze, marble, mud. dedicate a lot of his time to drawing, this was a necessary process for a sculptor, to master the dimensions with perfection He used to make the pieces in plaster, wax or clay, once satisfied with the creation, his assistants were in charge of reproducing the work in plaster. "THE POSTGRADUATE"

Good day. Today I will comment on a postgraduate that I would like to do after finishing my career at university, the course of exemption would be something related to what I already know, something related to sculpture, I would be interested in a ceramic workshop in portugal or also a workshop on electronics. but what I like the most is classic sculpture. Then I would follow a postgraduate degree in classical sculpture at a university or a fine arts workshop in Italy, they told me that Florencia has a very good art school or it could also be in Napoles .  My main reasons are to travel since in Chile there are no postgraduate courses. For this I have to travel and take the course in the city that I postulate, at the moment I have some postulation done in a fine arts academy in Napoles, I am waiting for answers and that would be a few months, the trip would be made next year in the month of July or August.
